BELTON, MO — Smeal Fire Apparatus has selected ROM as their vendor of the month for January 2015.
News of the announcement was made by Paul Pieragostini, Director of Purchasing, Smeal Fire Apparatus.
“ROM has worked diligently over the past months to earn the honor of being selected as our vendor of the month for January 2015,” said Pieragostini.
“While we grade vendors objectively using a metric that includes form, fit, function, scheduling, delivery, and pricing, we have been most impressed with something more difficult to quantify – the responsive customer service delivered by Crystal Johnson and her team at ROM.”
Crystal is one of ROM’s six inside customer development representatives (CDRs). With 14-years of service, she has spent 90% of her tenure working in a customer service capacity.
“It’s an honor to be acknowledged for our hard work. Working with Smeal is wonderful. Paul and his team know exactly what they’re doing when they place their orders and that makes my job so much easier,” said Crystal.
In an effort to create a single sales point-of-contact, ROM transitioned sales responsibility of its “emergency products” to FRC territory managers in late 2013 (click here for more information).
“While this award directly reflects Crystal’s hard work, as well as those on the production floor in Missouri, I also believe it’s a compliment to Dave Hintz and Craig Lecy who have worked to ensure a smooth handoff with sales and engineering relationships on the front end,” said Toh Meng, Vice President of the Emergency Division for Safe Fleet.
“We are focused on making it easier for customers to interact and do business with all Safe Fleet brands.”
Since 1947, ROM has improved worker safety with the introduction of: roll up compartment doors, folding safety ramps, and automatic hose bed covers.
