Safe Fleet Announces the Winner of Part 1 of “United Against Bullying” Coloring Contest

Safe-Fleet-anti-bullying-badge-2BELTON, MO (September 17, 2015) – Safe Fleet, the leading provider of safety solutions for fleet vehicles, is pleased to reveal the winner of Part 1 of the “United Against Bullying” coloring contest. The winning entry was submitted by Allison McKenna Fox from Meridian Middle School located in Lynden, WA.

Part 1 of the United Against Bullying coloring contest was organized by Safe Fleet and its subsidiaries from August 15th till September 15th and was open to students from all school districts across the United States and Canada. The drawing of the winning outline encourages kids to work together to stop bullying. As a winner, Allison McKenna Fox will receive an anti-bullying teddy bear, medal, button, and certificate.

“We were impressed by the creativity of students who took part in our contest and by the genuine interest of school communities to our program,” said Bob Parks, Vice President Human Resources at Safe Fleet. “The contest submissions covered a range of anti-bullying messages, teaching young people to be kind and supportive to each other. We thank all the students, educators, and parents for active participation and attention to the issue of bullying. It was a great inspiration for all our team to continue working on solutions and initiatives to stop bullying.”

During National Bullying Prevention month (October), Safe Fleet and its subsidiaries will launch Part 2 of the color contest.  In this phase, students will color and submit the outline designed by Allison McKenna Fox. The winners will be selected from three different age categories: 5-7 years old, 8-10 years old, and 11+ years old. Each winner will receive an anti-bullying medal, a button and certificate, and a teddy bear. The winners’ schools will receive $500 towards the implementation of anti-bullying initiatives.

School transportation departments can submit applications for a $50,000 grant for the expansion of their anti-bullying training programs and the purchase of school bus safety equipment until October 15th.

Safe Fleet and Its Subsidiaries Launch Nationwide ‘United Against Bullying’ Program

Safe-Fleet-anti-bullying-badge-2BELTON, MO (July 15, 2015) – Safe Fleet, the leading provider of safety solutions for fleet vehicles, and its subsidiaries launch a nationwide “United Against Bullying” program and web site: www.unitedagainstbullying.net. The program’s main goal is to support schools and communities in their efforts to stop bullying. Safe Fleet will offer tools, resources, and funding to support the best initiatives to prevent bullying and abusive behavior.

“As a company committed to providing safety solutions, we want to be proactive in addressing bullying,” says John R. Knox, President and CEO of Safe Fleet. “By engaging all our subsidiaries in the “United Against Bullying” program, we will offer expanded support to communities across North America in their efforts to create safe and respectful environments for children.”

Safe Fleet’s employees were inspired to unite for the cause by the “No Bullies on My Bus” campaign launched by Seon, a Safe Fleet brand, in 2013. Multiple school districts and transportation agencies took part in the Seon initiative, which helped spread awareness about bullying and sparked empowering conversations for young people. Witnessing the positive outcome of Seon’s campaign in participating communities, Safe Fleet and its subsidiaries decided to broaden the campaign and join the anti-bullying movement.

As part of the program, Safe Fleet will set in motion its “United Against Bullying” grant and an annual coloring contest. The grant will provide $25,000 for winning student transportation departments to implement or expand anti-bullying training programs. An additional $25,000 worth of school bus equipment (video cameras, stop arms, crossing arms, escape hatches) will be granted to school districts to increase student safety. Applications for each of the training and technology grants will be accepted from August 1st until October 31st, 2015.

Safe Fleet’s coloring contest will be open to students from all school districts in the US and Canada and held in two parts. In Part 1, from August 15th–September 15th, the children will be drawing an outline on an anti-bullying topic. The winning outline will be then colored by the participants of Part 2 of the contest, held during National Bullying Prevention Month in October.

Detailed information about the grant and coloring contest are available on the official Safe Fleet campaign web site at www.unitedagainstbullying.net.

“Our employees are honored to contribute their time and resources to support anti-bullying initiatives in communities across North America,” explained Bob Parks, Vice President Human Resources at Safe Fleet. “United by this important mission, we can achieve lasting results in empowering young people and putting an end to bullying across the country.”

NTEA Work Truck Show 2015

The Work Truck Show, sponsored by NTEA and held at the Indiana Convention Center, is the one-stop-shop for all work truck industry professionals.

Safe Fleet is proud to have had such a major presence at the show this year, where we featured our products that enhance the safety and productivity of drivers, passengers, and pedestrians.

The show, which ended today, featured several products from Safe Fleet brand companies. The gallery below highlights products from Prime Design Ladder Racks, ROM, Bustin, SEON and FRC.

Prime Design Introduces New Products that Improve Worker Safety and Productivity

WEST SAINT PAUL, MN (March 2015) – Prime Design, the leading innovator of ladder storage solutions for fleet vehicles, will introduce several new products at the NTEA Work Truck Show on March 4-6.

“The Work Truck Show is the perfect venue to introduce our products, which improve worker safety and productivity,” said Tom Seifert, Prime Design Product Manager.

Some of the new products for 2015 include:

Professional Truck Rack: The Professional Truck Rack (PTR) is ideally suited for contractors and handymen. Unlike traditional “stick racks,” the PTR mounts to the bed rails of most pickup trucks and can be transferred from vehicle to vehicle, regardless of brand, and without drilling. This unique feature not only maximizes the vehicle trade-in value, but reduces total ownership cost.

Designed for heavy duty use, such as at construction sites, the PTR provides a double walled aluminum frame that does not buckle like single walled applications.

While traditional “stick racks” can often be difficult to load, the PTR provides an intuitive roller wheel that makes loading easier, while reducing driver fatigue and injuries.

ErgoClamp: The patent-pending ErgoClamp reduces worker stress by providing a handle with a lower reach, as well as easier storage and retrieval system. The extruded aluminum design is ergonomic, lightweight, and can carry extension or step ladders of various lengths.

Rear Door Access Ladder: Having to load and unload equipment from high-roof vehicles just became more safe and convenient with Prime Design’s Rear Door Access Ladder.

This stable ladder eliminates climbing on the tires or bumper to load. Most importantly, no drilling is required.

Similar to the PTR, the Rear Access Ladder clamps to the van door. This simplified design maximizes a van’s trade-in value, while helping reduce total cost of ownership.

LED Strobe: Be seen and be visible with the all new Prime Design LED Strobe Light. This LED is specifically designed to provide more down angle light to gain the attention of pedestrians and motorists. Offering a 5-year warranty and a price tag of less than $100.00, this solution helps business owners save time and money by bundling commonly purchased items together.

“All of our products introduced here at the Work Truck Show, feature patented designs that reduce operator stress and fatigue, reduce the risk of work-related injuries, or help improve worker productivity,” Seifert said. “Come by the Prime Design booth, number 2241, and let us help you find the right solution for your work challenges.”

Additional information on Prime Design products is available on the company’s new website, www.primedesign.net, which includes an easy-to-use distributor locator.
